Taking Orders

This guide explains step by step how to take orders in eesy Manager.

Overview

The ordering process consists of three steps:

  1. Assign table – Scan QR code or enter table number
  2. Select products – Tap products, choose variations
  3. Submit order – Send order to the kitchen

Assign Table

You can assign the table at any time – before, during, or after adding products.

Via QR Code

  1. Tap Scan Table Code next to the input field
  2. Scan the QR code on the table
  3. The table number is automatically entered

Manual Entry

  1. Tap on the input field at the top
  2. Enter the table number (e.g., "5" or "Patio-West")
  3. The table is assigned
Allow Letters

By default, only numbers are allowed. Admins can enable "Allow letters in table number" in Space settings to also allow names like "Patio-A".

Step 2: Select Products

  • Folders: Tap a folder to open it
  • Back: Tap "Back" or swipe from left to right
  • Search: Use the search bar to quickly find products

Favorites

Frequently ordered products can be marked as favorites. These appear at the top in a separate section for quick access.

Adding Products

Simple Products (without variations)

Tap once on the product – it's added directly to the order.

Products with Variations

  1. Tap on the product
  2. A dialog appears with:
    • Quantity: How many units (default: 1)
    • Variations: Checkboxes for all available variations
  3. Select the desired variations
  4. Tap Add

Example:

Quantity: 2 [- 2 +]
─────────────────
☑ Extra Cheese +$1.50
☑ No Onions $0.00
☐ Extra Sauce +$0.50

Products with Configurator

For more complex products (e.g., build-your-own pizza), the configurator opens:

  1. Tap on the product
  2. The configurator shows multiple steps:
    • Radio buttons: Choose one option (e.g., size)
    • Checkboxes: Choose multiple options (e.g., toppings)
    • Dropdown: Select from a list
    • Text field: Enter special requests
  3. Required fields are marked with *
  4. The price updates in real-time at the top right
  5. Tap Add

Product Notes

For special requests or modifications, you can add notes:

  1. Long press on a product
  2. Select Add with product note
  3. Enter the note (e.g., "Allergy: Nuts")
  4. Select variations and tap Add

The note appears as a speech bubble next to the product.

Removing Products

  • Long press on an already added product to remove it
  • With multiple variations: Choose which one to remove

Step 3: Submit Order

Order Notes (optional)

Tap the Note icon at the bottom right to add a note for the entire order (e.g., "Guest is in a hurry").

Submit

Important

To submit, you must long press the button, not just tap!

  1. Review the order and total price
  2. Long press on Submit Order
  3. The order is secured via TSE and sent to the kitchen
  4. The order receives a unique number (e.g., #123)

After Submitting

After submitting, the order appears:

  • In your Order Overview under the table
  • In the Kitchen for preparation
  • Optionally on the Receipt Printer as a ticket

Viewing Orders

Open the Orders page to see all open orders:

  • Green border = All products delivered
  • "Ready for pickup" = Kitchen marked the order as ready
  • "Reminder" = Kitchen sent a reminder

Checking Off Products

Tap on a product in the order overview to mark it as delivered. A checkmark appears next to the product.

Follow-up Orders

An order cannot be edited after submission. If a guest orders more, create a new order for the same table:

  1. Select the same table
  2. Add the new products
  3. Submit the order

During billing, all orders for a table are combined.

Team Orders

Orders from other servers can be viewed in the order overview under Team Orders. To take over a team order:

  1. Enable Show Team Orders
  2. Tap Take Over on the desired order
  3. The order appears in your list

Tips

  • Use favorites: Mark frequently ordered products as favorites for faster access
  • Use search: With many products, search is often faster than navigation
  • Use notes sparingly: Use notes only for real special requests, not for standard variations
