Kitchen View
The Kitchen View shows all incoming orders in real-time. Kitchen staff can view orders, process them, and notify the server.
Access
- Select Kitchen as mode at startup
- Or switch to Kitchen via the menu
Main View
Header
- Title: "Kitchen" with number of open orders (e.g., "Kitchen (5)")
- Billing period: Current period (e.g., "Today 08:00 - Tomorrow 08:00")
- Menu: Printer configuration
Orders
Each order is displayed as a card with:

| Server | Name of the server who placed the order |
| Timestamp | When the order was placed |
| Price | Total price of the order |
| Product list | All products with variations and notes |
Product List
Each product shows:

- Extra Cheese
- No Onions
💬 "Please well done"
☐ 1x Fries
- Large portion
- Checkbox: Mark product as ready
- Quantity × Name: Product with quantity
- Variations: Indented below
- Notes: As speech bubble
Processing Orders
Mark Individual Products as Ready
- Tap the Checkbox next to a product
- The product is marked as ready
- The server sees the progress
Mark Entire Order as Ready
When all products of an order are ready:
- The order is marked as ready for pickup
- The server receives a push notification
- "Ready for pickup" appears in the order overview
Mark All Orders as Ready
For quick processing:
- Tap All Done (Floating Action Button)
- Confirm in the dialog
- All open orders are marked as ready
Send Reminders
You can send a reminder to the server, e.g., when an order takes particularly long or needs special attention.
- Tap on an order
- Select Send Reminder
- Enter an optional message
- The server sees:
- "Reminder" badge on the order
- Message with timestamp and device name
Filter and History
Filter
Tap the Filter chip to filter orders:
- By status (open, in progress, ready)
- By time period
- By product category
History
Tap the History chip to show completed orders:
- Shows the number of completed orders
- Opens a list of all completed orders
Screen Behavior
On mobile devices, the screen stays permanently on in Kitchen View. This prevents the screen from turning off during work.
Tips
- Follow the order: Orders are shown chronologically – oldest first
- Use reminders: Proactively inform about longer wait times
- Receipt printing: Print tickets for complex orders (see Receipt Printing)
