Configure Receipt Printers

Here you configure print servers and receipt printers for automatic ticket printing.

Setting Up Print Server​

Step 1: Print Server Account​

A team member is configured as print server:

  1. Open Admin Panel → Receipt Printers
  2. Select a team member from the list
  3. Enable Use as Print Server

Step 2: Print Server Software​

On the print server device (PC, Raspberry Pi):

  1. Install the eesy print server software
  2. Log in with the print server account
  3. The software connects automatically

Step 3: Connect Printer​

  1. Connect the receipt printer via USB
  2. In the print server software: Search for Printers
  3. The printer appears in the list
  4. Add the printer

Configure Printer​

After adding a printer:

With print groups, you can control which products are printed on which printer.

Example​

You have two printers:

  • Kitchen: For food items
  • Bar: For beverages

Configuration:

  • Food → Print Group 1 → Kitchen Printer
  • Beverages → Print Group 2 → Bar Printer

Assign Print Groups​

  1. Open Admin Panel → Receipt Printers
  2. Select a printer
  3. In the Printable Products section, you'll see all products
  4. Enter print groups for each product (e.g., "1, 2")
  5. Enable printing for the product

Format: Comma-separated numbers, e.g., 1, 2, 3

Multiple Receipts per Order​

If a product is assigned to multiple print groups, a separate receipt is printed for each group.

Example:

  • Product "Schnitzel" → Print Groups: 1, 3
  • For an order, two receipts are printed (Group 1 and Group 3)

Enable Products for Printing​

For each printer, you can individually specify which products are printed:

  1. Select the printer
  2. Find the product in the list
  3. Enable the Print switch
  4. Optional: Assign print groups

Supported Printers​

The eesy print server supports ESC/POS-compatible thermal printers:

  • Epson TM-T88
  • Epson TM-T20
  • Star TSP100
  • Star TSP650
  • Bixolon SRP-330
Recommendation

80 mm paper width provides the best readability for kitchen receipts.

Troubleshooting​

Printer Not Printing​

  1. Print server online? Check status in Admin Panel
  2. Printer enabled? Check printer settings
  3. USB connection? Reconnect printer
  4. Paper loaded? Check paper roll

Receipt Not Printing​

  1. Product enabled? Check if printing is enabled for the product
  2. Print group assigned? Check print group configuration
  3. Correct catalog? Products from the right catalog?

Quality Issues​

  • Unreadable: Check and adjust paper width
  • No cut: Enable "Receipt Cut"
  • No images: Enable "Print Images"
